Online trade ordering system

In conjunction with our retail partner, Walkhigh, and following a massive investment in new technology including dedicated servers, high speed Internet connection and software development; the Walkhigh website is being equipped with a trade-only log in system for Climbhigh UK customers. The system will not only provide online ordering and real time stock infomation for the regular Climbhigh brands but also a much wider variety of products from the Walkhigh portfolio at very attractive trade-only prices that are ideal professional user and massively expand the range available to our traditional resellers.

All existing trade customers will be sent a secure password in due course to access the system and all orders will be processed using this platform which will significantly improve our service to our trade customers and give much greater levels of transparency.

We aim to be your one-stop-wholesaler for mountain sport related products and this is represents a huge leap forward that we hope you will welcome with the same excitement that we have for the project.

ClimbHigh UK announces two more brands

With the addition of Chamonix based Simond and master Spanish shoemakers Tenaya, Climbhigh UK now provides a complete range of products for the mountain sport retailer.

 Simond's Alpine heritage is of an unquestionable pedigree and goes back to 1860 to the very birth of modern mountaineering.

 Tenaya have a succinct and extremely specialist climbing shoe range designed for the rock athlete that needs only the very best uncompromising handmade shoes for the most demanding situations.

Barigo Wins Outdoor Industry Award

 Each year at the European Outdoor show some 500+ exhibitors show off their wares and their innovations for the coming seasons. Competition is understandably fierce when introducing new products and to be recognised as outstanding among the tens of thousands of items on display is an task of Herculean difficulty.

How wonderful then that the Barigo model 90 Altimeter won the Outdoor Industry Award for an Accessory ! The unique thing about the model 90 is that it sports a large and clear to read analogue face that is worn on the supplied armband on the outside of your clothing.

The Model 90 means no problems with misted up displays when removed from the warm confines of your down jacket or innacuracies due to incorrect temperature compensation. Its faster to use and doesnt require removing warm clothing to see what height you are at or fiddling with little buttons with your gloves on
... its so obviously a great idea its amazing no one thought of it before. The model 90 will be available from around the end of 2008 and forward orders are strongly advised.

New Distribution deals agreed at European Outdoor 2008

 Climbhigh UK has long known that careful selection of top quality brands will give retailers the chance to source from a single supplier, tried and trusted technical equipment that a climber, mountaineer or hillwalker may require. Such brands need to be of an unquestionable pedigree to fill users with confidence and pride of ownership.

With these criteria in mind we are therefore very pleased to announce that at Europes largest outdoor trade fair in Friedrichshafen held annually on the edge of beautiful lake constance, three deals were struck to add perfectly meshed ranges of products to our portfolio:

- Spains best known climbing rope and cord manufacturer

Terry Hollands - UK strongest Man and Garra

 okay so its not climbing, but the World's strongest men rely on their climbing shoes to provide the immense grip required for certain events such as the truck pull and tyre flip. Terry Hollands has risen through the ranks to be one of the Worlds strongest men since first winning the UK title in 2005.

With size 17 feet finding a climbing shoe to fit wasn't easy so in conjunction with Garra the Garra Non-Stop, a hybrid climbing / hyper-sport shoe, was developed and was used during the 2005 final and by Terry ever since. Its been so successful and proven strong enough in competition and training to cope in the most severe tests that several other well-respected strongmen and weight lifters now use the Garra Non-Stop shoe.
