Gronell

In 1937 Nello Grossule began learning the age-old trade of the shoemaker and by crafting his first pair of mountaineering boots. The appreciation for the care and enthusiasm for the products he created convinced him that quality was the key to his success.

As the years passed he hired additional skilled craftsmen and created his trademark "GRONELL". His boots became recognized all over Italy because of their extraordinary strength and comfort and with increasing experience, Nello elaborated innovative working techniques and he devoted himself to the research of improving materials, especially the leather that he personally selects, even today.

Now, at the beginning of the new millennium, the trademark "GRONELL" is a lasting symbol of quality, testified by the certification UNI EN ISO 9002 that was obtained in December 1999. Roca Ropes

The long journey from the time when Joan Roca started manufacturing braid in 1891 to the current polyamide ropes, capable of withstanding multiple falls by a climber, or today’s harnesses, has taken over 100 years.

Roca have followed every step of those evolving sports, the essence of which is the mountains.
